New Features are:
SharpCore
The new central component that runs as the heart of sharpE and ensures the stability of your shell. If one of your components crashes, it automatically offers you to restart it. sharpCore also now includes dynamic hotkeys meaning you dont have to restart sharpE for your hotkeys to start working. There is also added default hotkeys built right in the new sharpCore.
FileSize and Stability
Developing a shell takes a lot of patience. It needs to run on thousands of different computers running different operating systems and setups. Thats why for PB4 we went through rigorous testing with extra beta testers outside our team to bring you a more stable product. For PB4 we have removed the Delphi run times files from all the plugins and components and included them within the installer. Before we did this we had the same code in all our executables and plguins taking up space. Now its only in there once. This creates faster, cleaner, and smaller components and plugins.
Taskbar Enhancements
sharpTask has been the same way for a long time but now we have some great new features for you. Captions(Program Titles) are now an option on your sharpTask. So no more guessing which IE icon is on which website. To enhance this new functionality even more you can choose which color from your scheme you want the captions to be or you can select black or white. sharpTask now blinks when a window has been updated just like exploreres taskbar did. So when you get a new message in a chat window that button on your sharpTask starts blinking. Another great features is the ability for your taskbar to go Full Expand mode that makes sharpTask stretch itself all the way across the bottom of the screen to your other plugins(sharpTray/VWM). There is also a few more buttons for icon border coloring for when you mouseover them, etc.
Accompanying the new build is a brand new layout design for lowdimension.nets site also hosted on a new host(Our old host was a 66Mhz 486 DX2) a Ghz system with loads of ram and lots of bandwidth. Were hoping this will get rid of the sites consistently slow loading times(compared to most sites) and occasional downtime. The new layout is easier to get around, looks great, and has more functionality and info.
