Is there a way to get ObjectDock to look less cartoonish?

I want a simple launch program that sits on the side of my screen that has "less wow." Simple names of programs and maybe an incon.

Is there a way to mod ObjectDock for my boring tastes?

What version of ObjectDock, free or plus?

I run plus and it doesn't seem to have any options to do what you want. Almost sounds like Right Click is what you are looking for but at the present time it doesn't work on Win 7.

What OS are you running?

Put your icons on any zoomer or tile background then in OD config set the background to fully transparent. Your icons and their names will float there on your desktop. No cartoony at all.

P.S. Running indicators will still show also.

Play with the diffrent zoomers to find the one that gets you the most transparency or use settings to set to no zoom effect & auto hide,can't get more boring or simpler than that

Or just use a tabbed dock, then you can name each tab yourself and the icons are hidden until you need them. If you want to get totally boring, hide your dock off-screen when not in use.

Or go in and set your transparency to make it complete invisivble...can't get much more boring than that!

He wanted something boring...and he wanted to do it with OD...doesn't matter if it is plus or not...they both use side docks...hello!

Says who? It works just fine on Win7 (32bit) for me.

Unfortunately I am too stupid to find the transparency codes. I'll try again.

I found another program called "Pstart" which is freeware and close to what I want. It has a simple menu of small icons and names of programs. The only thing I don't like about it is that when running it plants itself as a program running in the bottom bar taking up space. You can minimize it though to the tray.
