In what order and which versions to install Object Desktop 2010???

First, forgive me if I missed this but I tried several searches and could not find the exact flavor of what I was looking for, but here are my questions:

1) I just renewed after several years absence to Object Desktop 2010, is there a thread or documentation telling me specifically what components to install (from Impulse) on a Windows 7 x64 machine? I see multiple components listed and some are dated back to 2008 which gives me concern on whether I am installing the correct component/version for Win7 x64.

2) Is there a specific order I should install components in? I realize I don't need or have to install all the components, but really want to get started right and on the best footing.

It shouldn't matter what order you install the programs. Just pick which ones you want to use. Some of them haven't been updated for awhile. Impulse informs you when an update is available for any of the programs, and if you try to install a program that is not compatible with x64, it will tell you.

What does matter is that you install MyColors (if you feel you need it) before Windowblinds, and if you are verifying installation, you have to verify MyColors first, then Windowblinds.

When verifying installations, first verify MyColors and then close Impulse, and reopen to verify Windowblinds.

What Doc said about MyColors is correct.

The only thing that I'm not sure of is if MyColors in included in ObjectDesktop anymore. I think it was in the Ultimate version but since that has be dropped I just don't know.

Got most everything setup and working, but still a lot to learn I think. I bought the Corvette C6 custom theme for Mycolors (car guy and love this). It looks great but the "gauge" for CPU and MEM usage is missing. I think this is a function of Desktop gadgets not being compatible with Win7 x64 and therefore the theme when applied did not install this gadget. Am I thinking right on this?

Other than that, I expect I'll be reading a bit and trying to be self sufficient from here on out. Thanks again!

It looks great but the "gauge" for CPU and MEM usage is missing.

I don't think there's any CPU or Memory meter with the theme, I've got the theme and don't have any, don't see any on the MyColors page https://www.stardock.com/products/mycolors/gallery.asp?p=corvette&c=rides Not quite sure what you're seeing.

Must have been a modification of the theme that someone posted (and of course I can not find it now to provide a link), but thanks for the reply. I compared the screen shot to mine as well as the description and agree it does not seem to be an official inclusion.

Not really. MyColors is becoming more of an OEM solution, with ThemeManager taking it's place in Object Desktop. Really it makes more sense, as ThemeManager gives you more control over what your theme will be,

Nope. Media Players, Calendars, Clocks and Weather. Can't think of any others with MyColors, although there may be exceptions to the rule.
