When people first get into customizing their desktop, it's often confusing as to which programs do what. Does WindowBlinds change icons? What do I need to change my Start bar? Which ones handle cursors? What about changing the wallpaper?
WinStyles takes care of all of this. When you download a WinStyles theme and it will talk to the various programs on your system to change the different parts of Windows. If you are missing a program, WinStyles can automatically download and install those programs for you.
For example:
You want to make your Windows 2000 or ME machine look just like Windows XP. How do you do that? Answer - download WinStyles and apply a WinXP theme. It will then download the proper WindowBlinds skin, the icons, the wallpaper, and Windows XP Start bar and apply them for you.
The same holds true if you want to have a Mac desktop or KDE or Gnome or Amiga or some other operating system. And of course, if you want to have some completely different look and feel to your system, you can do that as well.
And soon, WinCustomize will be featuring screenshots that will link to WinStyles themes. Users who want to feature their desktops can use WinStyles to create .suite files so that other people who see those screenshots can (with a single click) make their desktops look like that.
