No internet connection, I have been searching for hte driver on my PC on the internet.

The Lan-Experess is the tower (USB plug) that picks up the wirelss signal from our router.

Several searches seem to point to this company being the manufacturer but cannot be sure. http://www.atheros.com/pt/wlan_core.htm

Can't seem to find much on 64 bit support elsewhere on the internet. You might like to email the company to see if they can help. I'll keep looking Po' and if I find anything I'll let you know

Don't kill yourself. I've looked and it's frustrating as all get out.

FYI - I tried uninstalling it and rebooting and letting windows try and find a driver but had no luck

In one of my searches I found this for 64 bit - REALTEK RTL8187 USB Wireless LAN Driver Setup Utility 

However it did not work. Also tried the RTL8187SE but that was not recognized as the driver either.

The router is a

Motorola SBG900 Wireless SURFboard Gateway

but

it's the wireless usb tower that I can't install on the Windows & 64 bit PC

Here is a pic of the device in question. I use the exact same model  on MY PC and my step sons old one and we have never had a problem with install. Thsi new PC is the first 64 bit I have ever had to work with.

It keeps saying no driver has been installed. I assume tht is because there is no 64 bit driver on the disk. I'm kinda surprised it has worked for me on Vista since the disc has drivers for 2000, ME, and XP only.

Try installing the 32 drivers in compatibility mode.

Good deal. It's a Linksys and I've had very good products from them and their customer service is excellent too. Newegg are good too. It's a 'n' and the price in the cart is $39.99........a $30 saving.

The adapter is yellow flagged under 'Other' as 'Unknown Device'.

When I troubleshoot it it says it's a hardware or software issue. I swappwed it with mine on my PC and it works fine. When I troubleshoot further it says the 'drivers have not been installed' or 'no drivers can be found'

* Iid what you said and it seemed to actually install and dumped an icon for it on my desktop. When it rebooted it said the Program can not run because AW32N50.dll was not found on my computer and I should try reinstalling the program.

I searched the PC for it to be sure. nadda. I also searched the install disc and the PC could not find it there either.

forgot to add...When I click on the desktop icon for Lan Express I get the same message.

It's not the 64 bit that's the problem....it's that 'thing' you're trying to hook up...

What does the yellow flagged device now show as in Device Manager?
