Lots of work has gone into the latest release of Trigger. There have been many enhancements put into this unique desktop and wallpaper manager.
Update features:
- New icons for Trigger and Trigger skin files. Thanks goes out to Scrow for the use of his icons.
- Optional skinnable Tooltips. If you a familiar with a skin and don't want Tooltips popping up everywhere, disable them. You can then enable them at any time if you have lost something in a new skin!
- Opening a Trigger skin file (files with the tsz file extension) will now run Trigger with the specified skin if Trigger isn´t already running, or change the skin of Trigger while it is running.
- Included default image properties in the Options window. You can now decide what colors and options should be set by default when a new image is added to Trigger.
- Enhanced skinning engine. Image details, image preview and current Mood name skin components can now all be set as not visible as part of the skin definition. This gives more flexibility to skinners in the look that they want, and better performance where those components are not used.
- Updated transparency code in the skin engine. Transparencies can now be dynamically determined regardless of the users screen color depth.
- Some code changes to make it more stable in Windows98.
Trigger is a desktop and wallpaper manager. Trigger allows you to create collections of images (called Moods). Each image has the following properties that can be set: Center/Tile/Stretch, Forecolor of icon text, Backcolor of icon text, Transparent icon text, Backcolor of desktop not covered by the image, Hide/Display desktop icons. Each of these properties are stored against the image, so that if the image is displayed by Trigger, across any of the Moods, the same properties will be used. Trigger can handle BMP, JPG and GIF file types. Each file type will be converted on the fly to the BMP format that is used for wallpapers on the desktop. Trigger also supports an auto-start feature when the computer is started or logged on, and handles transparency and full freeform skinning
