Win7 Startup Sound

Soundpackager does not appear to change the default win 7 startup sound. Is this by design or is this an issue with Win 7?

Good bug reports include your OS (and version), the version of the app, whether the problemoccurs with evvery skin (sound) or just one and if so . . which one(s).

Occurs with all that I have installed, all of which include a System start sound wav. Incidentally using the 64bit version of Win 7 as well.

I have been reading a number of sites which claim that changing the system start sound file on Win 7 is somewhat trickier, see for example http://www.sevenforums.com/customization/22429-how-change-windows-7-startup-sound.html,

Not sure how true this is

Bugs on current version of Soundpackager from Impule I have noticed with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit:

Clicking the "Preview" icon brings up the apply window

Clicking on IMPORT PACKAGE does noting anymore
