Use dxFriend to create dxFriend files, which are 'scripts' containing a list of dxFriend commands. These commands allow you to automatically perform steps you normally do manually. When you save and then run a dxFriend file, you can have it open multiple programs for you, set their size and positions on the screen, open other Windows special control panel and dialog boxes, capture screenshots, and a lot more.
Use dxFriend and set up a shortcut to perform what usually takes you many steps manually to do. Do you often open the same programs, and want to be able to open all of them from a single icon? Do you need to set the screensaver temporarily inactive before you run a certain program (like DEFRAG or SCANDISK)? There's a ton you can do with dxFriend, and the list has been expanding...
New in v0.90:
- "Map Network Drive" added to list of available dialogs to open using the /OpenSpecial command.
- /RestoreAll Window Command: will restore all previously minimized windows to their previous state.
- /LockWorkstation System Command: locks a Windows 2000 or NT machine until the current Windows password is entered.
- /Taskbar System Command: shows or hides the Windows taskbar and start menu.
- Interface enhancements: resizeable editor window and resizeable command list/text box.
Works great with DesktopX, ObjectBar, LiteStep, NextStart, or even good old Windows

Or, use it with Windows scheduler to create automated dxFriends!
