It's a good idea. I love the way it looks and I'd really like to have my desktop look at that.. The only problems are:
• High CPU usage makes this impractical. I have a Pentium III 900Mhz and the CPU useage was around 40%, making my computer run at effectively 500mhz. It doesn't mean enough to me.
• High CPU continues EVEN while playing a game or when the desktop is completely covered. If there was anyway to stop this, I'd enjoy it very much.
• Crashed while attempting to load Diablo II
• Popup is quite annoying, but I understand the premise. I would strongly suggest a limited freeware version, rather than shareware. This would build your user base and you could charge for the "pro" version of whatever. The heirarchy of the shareware model never works out except with the most useful of programs. Since this is more of a decorative thing, people are not as willing to pay money... At least not as much as something they need. So the proper marketing model is needed to spread the word and make this program as accepted as Windows Blinds or Object Desktop.
• Stunning idea though and excellent work with the programming. I applaud whoever made this, as it is an excellent custimization.
