BSOD when using Deskscapes 3

I was thinking how gay it was that I had to buy the upgrade to Deskscapes 3 when I just purchased Deskscapes 2 not even a year ago. I go ahead and buy the upgrade, install, and begin to play around with the new version. I go to apply a dream, and my computer goes to the BSOD. Can someone explain to me why this is happening?

Can someone look at this image I took of the codecs installed on my system and let me know if I need to disable any, or possibly add some?

I was messing around, and disabled a few of the MPEG codecs. While doing so, I applied a dream file that has been crashing my PC recently in Deskscapes and my computer crashed. I rebooted, and the dream that crashed my system was actually running on my desktop when my system started back up. I am having a problem pinpointing exactly which codec to disable, but I have a good feeling that I will get this problem solved without buying a new graphics card or whatever.

I would disable all that are not original Microsoft installed codecs and start with these.

ATI Ticker

VIDC.I420

DivX.H.264

If this doesn't do it, try disabling the ones with install dates in november also

I would do that, but trying to find out what codecs were installed with Windows 7, and which ones were not seems sort of difficult. Especially when I installed Shark007 thinking I needed a certain codec. I installed that, and there were like 150 codecs, and after unistalling it, I still have almost 100. Hard telling what programs I installed that came with codecs, lol. I do not know, but I do think I am on the right track. I will see what I can do, and thanks for the info.

Ok, so after a few more days going by, I have uncovered a few more things. First off, I can start any dream file, including the ones that crash my system by browsing to the folder they are located in, right-clicking, and setting as desktop background, and they run really good. Now, when I walk away from my PC, come back, and my screensaver is on, I bring my desktop back up, and I get a explorer.exe error saying:

I have located Mpeg2DecFilter.ax in C:/Program Files/DivX Free Codec. I did some research as to what this error means exactly, and a few people were saying rename the file to .old, or just disable it. The problem is, I installed this codec pack after I discovered the Deskscapes/BSOD problem. I try to search for "Mpeg2DecFilter.ax" on my PC, and nothing comes up, not even the one that is located in DivX Free Codec folder. So is it possible that I could have another one of these codecs installed on my PC? I also used the MMCompView to see all the codecs installed on my PC, and it is not even listed one time.

It is so funny, cuz I could have the dream files running so great on my PC, I open Deskscapes, and my computer crashes, lol.

Try this if you didn't already figure this out.

1. Go to Start and in the search bar type "cmd" with no quotes.

2. When the Command prompt pops up type "regsvr32 /u mpeg2decfilter.ax" without quotes and hit Enter on the keyboard.

Then see if the error still shows up. If not, Great! If it does just reply back and tell me and by then i might have something else to try.

By the way, when you get the error, it should say STOP 0x000000xx. The last two x's will determine the Culprit to the problem. So if my solution doesn't work, and the error pops up, look right after the word "STOP" and at the set of 0's and tell me the last 2 Letters or Numbers are.
