I was wondering if something is going on tonight or has there been a change in Impulse or online store? I have a promo code that I have to use before it expires and I am unable to complete any purchases. Normally if I am in Impulse I add what I want to the cart and click on checkout and I am done in a couple of clicks. I have made purchases with promo codes before and even bought physical copies that were delivered to my door, so this is nothing new for me. Now on both the website and in Impulse it tells me I have to sign into a "Webstore" account that only uses an Email address for the User ID. Well I have a login ID for my Stardock account and with Impulse which has never been my Email address. I am not even sure why I should even have to log in again, since I am already logged into Impulse and can view all my applications and download my purchases.
So I tried the reset password option at this "webstore" login anyway and it sent the request to my email and let me reset the password. When I try and log in now it just loads the same screen again with no message. I try an incorrect password and I get the generic "User ID / Password invalid" message. It is getting really frustrating since I have never had any problems buying stuff from Stardock including the two things I just bought last night with no problem. I have even tried resetting Impulse data but this would have no effect on trying to purchase directly from the website. Naturally the last thing I want is for almost $100 worth of software to get associated to a new account but the new account option seems to be the only option working right now.
