Hey there all,

I'm taking my first swing at doing a sort of custom dock, I'd like a result similar to this link: http://semanticone.deviantart.com/art/I-see-you-Tu-92544822

What I'm trying to do is separate one side with icons and the other with various other items.  The difference between my idea and the pic is that I have many more icons, so I'd be making them smaller of course.

As I play around and tweak things, I've noticed that the custom background bar moves proportionally to the icon size.  So if I can keep the icons small and keep the bar the same size, I can stick a separator in there and hopefully get the results I'm looking for.  This was my plan anyways.

Anyone have any ideas to make this thing work out?  Any input would be appreciated.  Thanks!
