I've been noticing lately that whenever I try to override theme fonts, some of my fonts are missing from the selection boxes. The missing fonts are mainly the basic Shift-JIS (Japanese) fonts that get installed along with the Japanese IME from the Windows CD, MS Gothic and MS Mincho. There's also quite a few others missing, many of who's names either start with a full-width letter or number, or with a non-english character (Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji, etc.).
Those just happen to be the fonts I want to use as an override, but I can't since they don't show up as long as I have the Non-Unicode language set to Japanese in the Regional Options section of the Control Panel. They all show up and work without a problem on an English setting, but when I switch over to Japanese again and reboot it loses them(Weird since they're Japanese fonts bewing used on a Japanese locale setting???).
Chinese and Korean fonts show up and work perfectly regardless of the setting or their name, some of which start with non-English characters. (Weird again...)
I can't stay over on an English setting since it causes several of the games I play very often to stop working, because they are non-Unicode programs and just crash out due to Japanese characters in the filenames. It would be way too much of a hassle to have to keep rebooting every time I want to play them.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the fonts showing up again while still using the Japanese setting, or is WB have some sort of incompatibility with some non-English font names? Stardock's software are the only programs I've ever seen that won't at least recognize that they're even there. At least my other programs that don't like them at least show them in their selection boxes, although with a messed up, unreadable name (But they're at least there, and do work).
I'm on Windows XP SP3, and here's the system info:

I know I don't have the latest version, but Its been this way since I first got WB, so its highly unlikely that its been fixed yet.
