I hate to bring up more Fences drama; however...
I have been dying for an update to Fences to hopefully fix the "Program Files" window spawning issue. Well now a update is available, but it says the program is not compatiable with my OS which is Windows 2003. Obviously, prevous versions did not have an issue with my OS, so I am not sure why the update is being so restrictive now.
If this meant that I would just have to live with the "Program Files" bug I would leave it at that as other than this Fences works good enough for me; however, I assume my current version will expire leaving me with squat.
Please don't leave me out. I assume the limit of OS is artifical since the product has worked fine before. I love this product and use it in a lot of places on a lot of OSs, and I still want it to work here.
I have been a long time Stardock supporter, but with the current bug, the piggie back of Impulse, etc. it seems Stardock is out to ruin our relationship. I know Fences is free; I would be happy to pay, but I don't have that option yet. I understand and appreciate many of the issues and drama related to Fences, and I have tried to have patience. However, I am begging that Stardock stay focused on users and take these issues into consideration. If OS was limited before I would understand, but to get people hooked then kick them out on the street is just mean.
To end my soapbox, is there a reason support for 2003 was dropped? Is there a work around? Will the .99 expire?
