Shelby, the latest update to Microsoft Update came out on 09/28/09 which means it was probably out there on 09/29 but I didn't notice it. Last night when I got home, I loaded Impulse and there was the update for WindowBlinds. In the middle of that, the update from Microsoft also started to install. It got very interesting for awhile there.
Things finally smoothed out after I revalidated Vista but the update page error still persists.
The latest update to WindowBlinds came out on 09/30/09 so Stardock may not have had time to address the issue with Microsoft Update. My guess is they will do a patch to solve the issue. I have uninstalled WindowBlinds twice, rebooted, checked for invalid registry files, etc. and I still get the error. When I clicked on the link you sent, it goes to the web page and then the blank page comes up saying it couldn't load the update page. If I unload WindowBlinds, Microsoft update works just fine.
At this point, I am not really worried about Windows update. Windows 7 ships on 10/26 and I am eagerly awaiting it's arrival. I haven't had any major problems with Vista but I have spent a lot more time under the hood than I did with XP. The worst OS I ever used was Windows ME, aka Misery Everlasting. That was a trip! I am counting the days until Windows 7 arrives.
