Opening windows on a dual display system

Hey,

I have just started using Objectdock on my Dual display Windows Xp system. The first display is small monitor on a desk where I sit and do all things computer related, the second display is large monitor I use to watch media and so fourth. I have created a bar on each display which has the relivent shortcuts needed. For instance, on display 1, I have shortcuts for prgrams, games and such, where as on display 2, I have shorcuts to open various media folders.

Now my problem is everything opens on display 1 because its the primary display, now althougth this is where I want all my porgams and games to open, it is not where I would like the media folders to open, i would perfer it if they opened on the larger display 2.

So is there a way I can edit the shorcuts in an Objsctdock to open on the display of my choosing?

You can't instruct ObjectDock to open folders on your screen of choice, neither can you tell shortcuts to do that, unless you use some utilities like Actual Window Manager.

Seems to me in general that things tend to open up in the same positions they were in the last time they were closed. I think IE's been a little contrary sometimes and I've had to open once from the startup panel, put it in the position I want, and close it once to get the new position to stick. You might try that if you've got a few programs that are being contrary.

For Windows Explorer, try opening the folder from OD, putting the window where you want it, and closing it before browsing to any other locations or subfolders. It should then "stick", but if you browse around to a different folder in the window and then close it, it won't.

I'm using XP and dual monitors, no monitor management software and that's how it works for me.
