Deskscapes "Set as Desktop Background"

I had to uninstall the deskscapes trial from my windows vista business computer. I didn't have any major problems running the sample dreams when the program was installed. However, after the uninstallation through impulse and attempts using other programs like revo uninstaller, and the odnt_zapper.exe video files still have the "Set as Desktop Background" in their context menu and I have no idea how to remove it. It doesn't work if you go click it as it goes to the "open with..." menu. Is there anyway that I can get this to go away?

I think what you need to do in reinstall it and then set things back to normal wallpaper backgrounds functions, that should shut down the deskscapes function, then uninstall it. I would run something like CCleaner to be sure there are no loose bits hanging around and then reboot. You should then be back to normal.

Thank you for the response. I tried installing deskscapes again and changing the wallpaper to a regular picture and uninstall again, ran CCleaner, and finally rebooted. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to change anything. I am thinking it might be from a registry key that isn't being found by CCleaner, but I do not have enough experience with this kind of stuff to really figure out what the problem is. Thank you for trying. Do you have any other ideas?

I think the best thing to do would be to email support@stardock.com and let then know what you tried to correct the problem. You are probably right at it being something in registry. I try not to mess around in there unless it's with some first hand guidenance.

Of course, by "hacking" the registry they mean simply removing the entry for the option you don't want, but "hacking" sounds so much cooler, doesn't it?
