I first became aware of ObjectDock two years ago. As a Mac user, I found it to be a nice utility that allowed me to have a more Mac-like Dock in place of the clunky Windows Taskbar on my lab computer. Unfrotunately, the free version did not allow me to completely free myself of the taksbar, but it was a step in the right direction.
I recently installed ObjectDock on my work computer and opted to upgrade to the Plus version due to the extra features that would permit me to completely free myself of the Taskbar. Imagine my dismay when I found out that one of the primary reasons I decided to upgrade to ObjectDock Plus—the ability to have the system tray available without having to leave the Taskbar active but hidden—gave me a message stating that the feature is not supported in the 64-bit version of Windows. Then to put icing on that cake, I then found the same to be ture of the Start menu docklet. This is very disappointing and one of the reasons I am a Mac user; 32-bit or 64-bit is of no consequence in OS X.
It is ashame that the Website does not clearly state that some features are not supported in he 64-bit versions of Windows, particularly the two that complete ObjectDock's ability to replace the Taskbar completely. I would hope that StarDock rectifies this situation immediately both in what the Website omits and adding the functionality that those of us with 64-bit systems are denied.
Beyond that, I find ObjectDock to be an excellent product with the potential to give me back some of the productivity that the Windows UI paradigm inherently precludes.
