That sure brings back memories;
Congress center downtown Montreal in July 95 where i simply picked up a demo CD of the first revolution in M$-OS... so we were all told as per their invitation documents.
Only problem was that an employer never cared much about some Excel work done for inventory control the summer after. By september 13th 96, i was once again outa job.
Call it the fear of change by co-workers and the floppy loops made of ONE insufficient salary leading to the first of a few more 1500$ PCs dumped in garbage, encoded to fill a waste of hopes and spent on a string of administrative tools correctly handled.
Bad timing or promising fiction? You do the math. I still owe money for studying D-Base, Lotus and whatever else Borland and plenty more couldn't save off the takeovers.
How's that for automation of office (ooops, registered brand... sorry for using the word.) duties?
