1st place to check for email would be spam
setting up an account with a different email won't help
check you spam see if the email is there
also - here at sd/wc - click my account > registrations see if it's there
if you find the email or find it on the registrations page, you want to use it with the email address from your purchase
if you don't find either, you may need to put in a ticket to support - giving them the email you purchase under
if needed they can either merge or delete an account
did you use paypal? it has a delay on it i believe
