As soon as the Vista SP2 got installed on my computer ObjectDock Pro and Roboform Pro entered in conflict. By Default, when you create a new passcard in Roboform, it saves it to C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Roboform Data.
When I load ObjectDock Pro it cannot save to the default location anymore but rather to:
C:\Users\Username\App\Data\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Virtualized\C\Users\Username\Documents\My Roboform Data
This happens in the background. You never get an error message or anything that will tell you there is a problem.
The problem is that this is a virtual location so as soon as you turn off the computer the passcard is lost. Furthermore, if you need to edit the passcard for any reason, the Roboform passcard editor will look for it at the default location and will not find it there so it will give you an error.
The only workaround I have found at the moment is either shutdown ObjectDock Pro, shutdown IE8, reopen it and save or edit the passcard. The I can turn ObjectDock on again and everything is ok.
I have tried everything that comes to mind:
1. Uninstalled both programs.
2. Reinstalled with the Antivirus disabled and running as administrator.
3. Cleared the IE8 temporary files.
4. Uninstalled IE8 and IE7 and reinstalled.
5. Uninstalled SP2 and reinstalled.
6 Scanned for viruses and spyware with different applications.
7 Created a new user profile and tested.
8 Scanned windows with the sfc /scannow option.
9 Scanned windows with mrt.exe.
10 Corrected errors with TuneUp Utilities 2009.
11 Corrected errors with RegCure.
12 Reversed the order of the installation of Roboform and ObjectDock (sometimes one installation overwrites settings of another).
13 Contacted Roboform, but they blame either Microsoft or ObjectDock.
14 Contacted Microsoft where I got great help but at the end they say the problem is with ObjectDock that does not have the updates to work with Vista Ultimate SP2 32bits.
I have run out of options. Any ideas on this will be greatly appreciated.
