Repper is an addictive and easy to use website that allows you to turn your photo’s or any jpeg image into an abstract pattern. With the patterns you can make tile style wallpapers, backgrounds for your websites, and find a plethora of uses for in skinning.
Here are a couple of stock images I used for examples. The site offers a gallery of photos to chose from, with endless possibilities. However, it’s much more fun to upload your own and experiment. Like the site says, ‘It’s stunningly easy.’ Here are the results for each.
You can share a link to the image, copy the CSS code to use on your site, or download the image itself.
Here they are when applied.

The photos you use must be in JPEG format and less than 500k in size. Repper uses a kaleidoscope-style mirror effect to take small portions of your picture and generate patterns from them. You can move the box around and also adjust the width and height of it to vary the effect.
This is a great tool for anyone, especially those who are getting their feet wet for the first time with graphics. Kids will also love this. As always, my favorite part is that it is FREE to use.
Enjoy!
