I was listening to NPR the other day, and the car producing gurus think that in the future we will all own 2 cars...one like this smart car for local running around and a larger, more sturdier regular car for going longer distances. I'm just hoping to eventually live some place where I won't NEED a car. (I had a mechanic here for 8 hours last night trying to fix a water pump problem I have in my '96 Pontiac Grand Am, so I can try to send my DH out looking for jobs again).
I would love to exist by walking, biking, and public transportation...central Florida is not the place for that right now.
Vampothika, if that's the car you want, and you can afford it, I say go for it! I think I'd rather totally die in an crash in a little car, than exist with brain damage and disfiguration having to depend on others just to perform daily living activities if I survived a crash in something bigger.
