Hi,
Gadget is a wired network meter and can be downloaded from
Link
Features :
- displays any combination of upload, download, lan Ip, wan Ip. Resizes automatically.
- except for background, no images used in gadget itself (but used in Settings)
- gadget is a page switcher
- click on the title and gadget screen changes to allow changing the display.
- click on up/dn and screen changes to allow altering bar scales
- click on bars and screen changes to allow altering timing interval
- click on ip's and screen changes to links to - Nic folder
- Network folder
- Device Manager
- Command prompt
- ipconfig /all
- Powershell
- Task Manager
- Comp Mgmt
- Regedit
- click on lan and refresh lan ip
- click on wan and refresh wan ip
- ips are not refreshed automatically.
- gadget returns automatically to main display after 5 sec once mouse leaves gadget.
Settings allows for changing all of the above plus
- allow edit of gadget title
- color control over all elements including hover color.
- progid opacity control over u/l and d/l bars and backgrounds - choose from uniform opacity, linear gradient, radial gradient,
rectangular gradient.
- mockup of gadget in Settings applies changes to color and opacity as you make them.
- by default gadget adds i/o for all nics present and returns the ip of the last one enumerated. If Nic is selected then actual ip
of the nic is returned and only i/o for that nic displayed.
- click on icon at bottom of main settings for ad (not finished yet).
Especially like to hear if lan ip returns 0.0.0.0 on select Nic* but any thoughts, suggestions or bug reports welcome
*Bytespersec comes from one wmi class whereas ip comes from another. There is no common identifier. Must get the name from one, change some characters and try and match with description from the other (afaik). I need to see which characters have been changed. So far I have nVidia, Intel and Realtec Nics working here at home.
Thanks in advance.
