Overall, my experience with IconPackager thus far has been absolutely horrible. I have experienced a number of problems already covered in the forums since purchasing this software a few weeks ago. I have one question that I hope can be answered.
When I try to change the icons for my own file extensions IconPackager changes the icons for all filetypes that the associated program opens. For example, I have WinRAR installed on my machine. By default, WinRAR opens a number of different filetypes (RAR, ZIP, etc.). When I change the icon for one file extension, the icons for every filetype associated to the program also change. This happens with every file extension I have tried so far. If I change the icon for a Photoshop filetype, PSD files for example, every other filetype associated to Photoshop also changes. Is there anyway at all to change the icons for different files based on their extension?
To make matters worse, once I discovered that the icons would behave in the above manner, I tried to change everything back to how they were before I installed IconPackager. Now, all of the filetypes I tried to change before all have blank icons.
If IconPackager is unable to change file icons based on their extension and not the associated program, does anyone know of a program that will.
