Windowblinds for Windows 7 beta – When, please?

I'm testing Windows 7 and would like to know, EAGERLY, when Windowblinds will be available for Windows 7 beta.
I know it's a beta but Stardock did it for Vista when it was a beta too.
So, PLEASE?

basically when stardock are ready and not before. It's pointless making a compatible version when windows 7 is still in beta and then having the next beta version undo all the hard work. Patience is a virtue in this matter

Yeah,
I exaggereted a bit (EAGERLY) but that's because I love Windowblinds and acted passionately.
Anyway, I'm gonna wait for WB beta to come out for Windows 7 like it did for Vista beta. Fingers crossed.

A beta could possibly appear this Spring, but no set date as of right now.

Which version of W7 will that be for? Most people are using the public build 7000, but the most recent beta is way newer. I think running a beta trying to accomodate all build versions could turn out more troublesome than it's worth... Since there seem to be indications that the final product is intended to be launched this fall.

Well right now the question is:

Do we put out the beta of WindowBlinds 7 when it starts to have specific new features or when we're ready to put it  out there so it works on Windows 7?

My personal opinion on that would be to put it out when it has all current functionality. Once it's stable, it's alot easier to keep track of what feature break something while things are implemented.

Ofcourse, it depends a bit on how much work it is to adapt the core... If there are too many changes that need to be done on the core for the new features, it could be better to prepare for the new features first, thus put out the beta with new features included.

Don't know if this thread is still being watched, but it is 2 months later and Windows 7 is now a release candidate.  Any news of Windowblinds 7 coming out anytime soon?

But isnt that the whole reason for betas? To try them out before they go gold?  Since Windows 7 RC can be used until March 2010, it should be pretty much coded. If I'm going to use it for that much time, I would imagine a lot of others are also.  We dont want to be that long without our cool Windowblinds .  

I, for one, would definitely love to help beta test WB 7 with all the associated risks. I can think of a few programs that I've done that with already, i.e. Firefox.  

But, then again, I was just hoping to get some updated news on the status of this project. Cheers!

Here is something to think about while waitng for WindowBlinds 7 and compatibility for Win 7.  There are still lots of XP users and a growing number of Vista users and now there will be Win 7 users.  My thinking is Stardock doesn't want to lose any users of thier software/programs.  I imagine that the developers and programmers are not only working on Win 7 updates but are also working on making sure the updates to WindowBlinds will be back wards compatible to XP and Vista.  The current version of WindowBlinds works for both XP and Vista, seems to me they would keep that trend going.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

True, Stardock did a great job there, although certain skins may work on one or the other, but not both.  Also, I believe Stardock stated that the new start menu and taskbar were quite different than XP or even Vista, so could Windowblinds 7 still be made backwards compatible?  For example, their Logon software has a version for each OS.
