Hi,

Several of my friends have installed Fences and it works wonderfully.  I have installed it 5 times, and I cannot get it to function correctly.  The program creates the initial fences properly, and then asks me to configure fences.  I click on the configure button, and nothing happens.  Double clicking on the screen makes fences disappear and reappear properly, and I can drag and drop icons and resize fences fine.  When I click Cusomize fences Icon, I get the window that says "How to Configure Fences", and the note that says that the best way to bring up the fences control panel is to right click the desktop and chose edit fences".  I have right clicked the desktop, and chosen edit fences ad nauseum, and nothing at all happens.  No configuration dialog opens, nothing.  I can "Lock Fences" by rightclicking and selecting lock fences just fine.  However, the only thing I can get when clicking customize fences is the box telling me to right click.  When I click in that dialog to "Open Fences Settings", nothing happens except the dialog disappears.

What could be interfering with this?  Are there known software conflicts?  I've installed, uninstalled, and rebooted like 5 times, and the same thing happens each time.  I'd love to use this software, but unfortuntatly I can't seem to get it to function.  Windows XP SP3, stnandard HP Laptop.
