Change icon based on status of application

So I ject downloaded these SWEET icons but I can't figure out how to get the icons to change based on the status. For example if I get new mail, I want the new mail icon to appear.

If it's a mail Docklet, there should be config options?

this docklet appears to allow you to set specific Icons for each state.  https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=15018&libid=29

I do I get a mail docket or MSN and Yahoo docket?

If you don't want the one HG suggested [doesn't that support MSN or Yahoo?], maybe use a widget instead?

Check mail docklet is a docklet that will check mail

K-tek is icons you can use with a mail docklet to change the images the docklet uses - (like changing the icon on a shortcut)

 

icons don't change on their own

a docklet can change it's icon depending on status

P.S. So that means I need to find a MSN or Yahoo docket for the icons to change per status right? Thanks
