Hi I'm running Object Dock Plus 1.90 (Build 535u) on Vista Business SP1 (32bit).
I was wondering if there is anyway of customising the look of the Flyout Menus? What seems to be the only 'style' is the half circle (arc), which on my system flys out really, really slowly and also the clickable area for each entry icon doesn't always line up with the icon. It is often right at the bottom of the icon, and sometimes even below the icon. It also seems a very small area compared to the size of the icons.
For those who maybe don't use the Flyout Menus, they come out, in the same arc style, just like the 5 day weather forecast in the Weather Docklet.
What my question is, is there anyway to change this flyout menu style? I've seen, and used some, the Dell Application Dock that Stardock have developed for Dell. Dell started installing it on new systems about 6 months ago, or so, just after I purchased my Dell Vostro 1700 system. Now this Dell App Dock has flyout menus, called Catagories (I think), that come out as drawers which form a horizontal line of icons that are in the 'flyout menu' (Catagory). Also the Dell Dock has the ability to drag and drop program icons, or files into them, which is a feature that I've seen requested on this very forum.
I've been a user of ObjectDock for several years, since version 1.20a! And I'm really happy with the way it is working, for me on my Vista system. I mentioned above about the slow response time for openning the Flyout Menus, that would really be my only gripe with the version I'm using at present. My Vostro 1700 system has the following specs:
Intel Core2 Duo T9300 Processor (2.50GHz)
DDR2 (667MHz) RAM - 4Gb total (Windows uses 3.5Gb)
nVidia GeForce 8600M GT (256Mb) Video Adaptor
17" Diagonal WUXGA (1920*1200) LCD Display
Primary HDD Seagate ST9200420AS (7,200rpm) SATA HDD (200Gb)
Secondary HDD Toshiba MK2546GSX (5,400rpm) SATA HDD (250Gb)
Hence I don't see why, with such a system spec, the Flyout Menus should perform so poorly, as they seem to do for me.
But my fist desire is to know if there is anyway of changing the flyout menus to look like the Dell Dock ones. Personally I think they look much more professional and slick than the current flyout menus in OD+ 1.90.
