That skin would make my eyes bleed . . but who knows.
Funny you say that because this and other audio software GUIs are typically designed for lower light rooms and longs hours of staring at the monitor. But everything is in the eye of the beholder.

If you download the program there are several color schemes to choose from, some more appealing than others. But the shape is what I prefer. The simplicity of the buttons, knobs, dials, and frames make it very easy to work with. I would love for my OS to have an equal simplicity. This skin would be particulary effective if it played nicely with WB's colorization features.
2of3 has it right, its a matter of stylistic design. There is an obvious theme and feel, that is what I am interested in. The skin doesn't need all the colors that the program uses, just a few select ones that give it the feel of ableton.
I did not find any versions of ableton skins anywhere. There are some that are kind of close but their WB Vista support is not good and they aren't the real thing either.
