Hi all,
I have just updated windowblinds and upon installation (via impulse) my virus program has picked up that WbSrv.dll has the Generic!Artemis Trojan in it and keeps putting it in quarantine. I know it isn't, but shouldn't this be sorted out? does anyone know why it picks it up?
Thanks
Every once in a while a anti-virus program will give a false positive. You can be sure Stardock is not going to release any software or updates to software that are infected.
What anit-virus program are you running?
Hi,
Yes I know, I've got Mcafee, but I know others pick it up as well, just funny as it's never picked it up before.
SIL
Same update and AV but no issues here - strange
edit : its just done it LOL good job I read your post LOL

The anti virus companies tend to make this error every so often
Are you on XP?
I've got the same issue. Windows XP SP3, WB 6.30.104 and McAfee
It is an error in their definitions. We will be contacting them about it on Monday to get them to correct it.
Sweet, thanks everybody. Thought it was just me.
I'm on Vista BTW
Hi Neil,
Do you know how long this should take? I have had a few updates to the virus software, I have just tried windowblinds again and it's still picking it up. Don't suppose there is a workaround is there?
Does anyone have this issue using Norton ?
No problems with Vista 32 Home Premium and Norton 360
I have had the similar problem with Spyware Doctor deleting three files from WB6 & disabling it completely. I now get an Activate dialog; If fill it out I get a notice that I have maxed out activating the program. I tried uninstalling the affected copy of WB6, but still get the Activate dialog with the max out notice. How can I get those “excess activations” removed? From within SDC I get a pop up telling me to send in “this log” to support. No name or path to “this log” however, can anyone help me locate this sucker? Right now WB will not work on this computer. My subscription to stardock.net does not expire until September 2010. I am running XP PRO SP3

Damper: your activations should be reset.
What message did Spyware doctor give you before deleting those files?
Personally I believe those anti spyware apps do more damage than good.
