Problem Skinning Window

I'm having problems applying images to the window (top, bottom, left, right). No matter what I do the preview and the applied theme show no difference than the default blue theme you start with. I've tried using pre-made themes and even those have no effect when I change the default window images. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. (I'm using XP with SkinStudio 6.3 freeware on a very dated computer that only goes up to 24 bit color mode if that helps... lol).

SkinStudio makes WindowBlinds skins

You don't mention if you have WB installed

If you don't have it installed and running, SkinStudio ain't apply squat

If you do have WB installed, which version of WB and how's it working for you?

System Requirements

Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit) or Windows XP/2003
Windows 2000/ME/98 users can use WindowBlinds Classic (v4.6).

Minimum screen resolution: 1024 width and 768 height
●
60MB free drive space
●
256MB RAM



Not sure, but I think I read (since it's not in he requirements above - WB also likes 32bit


If you have it installed, open WB Configuration, click on system info and copy/paste that here

I'd hope anyone that has there hands in something such as this would have the appropriate software. But yes, I am using the latest build of WindowBlinds and SkinStudio. I've used both a year or so ago with no problem even on this computer. This is a very old dated computer which might be why I'm having this problem. My goal was to create themes built for bad computers and up. I'm familiar with C+ and the like so I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to these things. I've been trying to find an older build of SkinStudio but no such luck. I'll list my computer stats as well.

 PS. WindowBlinds has been working fine it's just "some" of the skinning i'm having trouble with in SkinStudio that is. I finished the start bar and it all works great but then came the window frames and then all this... lol. 

Windows XP Home Edition 2002 SP3

Pentium III

601 MHz 512 of RAM

Intel Graphics 32MB

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.3 (build 67 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC
Your machine does not support per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

This is because :

Your computer is currently in 16 or 24 bit colour mode and WindowBlinds needs to be in 32 bit colour mode to use per pixel borders.  Please adjust the colour depth of your display to 32 bit colour.  If this is not an option, then you may want to see if you can obtain new drivers for your graphics hardware.

Your computer graphics hardware does not support acceleration of per pixel alpha.  WindowBlinds requires this for per pixel alphablended borders as without it performance would be poor.  Please see if you can obtain new drivers for your graphics hardware.  Recent ATI & NVIDIA boards should support this feature.  Onboard graphics tend not to.

You don't have to have 32-bit support that's really only if you want per pixel alpha which I don't want to use.

You are skinning the per-pixel windows but your PC / graphic card does not support transparency. Therefore, windowblinds is using the UIS 2 window frames. These are the frames in Skinstudio you need to skin to see the changes. They are a different section than the per pixel frames you are skinning... assumed.

I've tried every window maybe I'm too blind to see...lol. I even downloaded an older version of SkinStudio... 4.6 and it worked fine but the new WindowBlinds doesn't support that version... so I'll try agian with the newer SkinStudio. Thanks.
