Click Start, All Programs, then Administrative Tools (or go to the Control Panel and select Admin Tools then select Services) Select Services and look for Desktop Window Manager. If it's not running, select DWM and right click and select Start. Right click again and select Properties. In the Start Up Type field select Automatic.
