Dragging Files out of the Docks

Hey

i just just objectdock and i had a quick question.

when i drag a file or a folder from the docks onto my desktop, they get deleted. is their any way that when i drag the file, to my desktop they dont get deleted, but instead stay on my desktop

I actually have a folder for some things in MyDocumetns that I store teh "permanentt" shortcut and then drag it to the dock.
