Hey DC.
Ever miss being able to change this and that?
YES!! oh yes... I was never comfortable with the interface on Tiger because it was in-consistant (brushed metal itunes, pinstripe finder).. but on Tiger, one could use an application called Shapeshifter—which was much like windowblinds. On leopard there is no such thing - however the look has been refined. I find myself googling regularly for such applications, and its a reason i remembered to check in here [Where is Stardock MacBlinds?
].
I do not use the dock—at all. Coming from the MSDOS and Winkey+R days which followed, i still run everything in the OS from a 'command line', in this case, a handy application called Quicksilver. Most commands i use keyboard instead of moving mouse.
I still use windows but its been regulated to running in VM, for testing office docs and websites-- or the occasional game (intel macs = native windows on a second partition). I don't use it often enough however, for skinning
I miss object bar, it was a fantastic tool to explorer different ways of using a computer-- great training on how to think of different ways, now, to use a -website-.
i'm still designing-- in print, mostly. During the day its casinos and malls, at night its my own thing, whatever i can get my hands on.
Jafo you old fossil, glad to see you're still sorting our pink dolphins from our brittny spears wallpapers. Still making pretty buildings?
Has anyone spoken to Pas lately?
