Observation: I am using the same background that the pic!

Make sure you change each set of numbers. i.e. if it's 255 255 255 you need to make sure you change it to 0 0 0 (black). And you'll also have to re-apply the dock after saving the changes.

Everyone has their own naming conventions for their .ini file names. Mine for instance are usually something like tab.ini or tab1.ini. So I'm thinking what you are looking at is the file name of the .ini (tab.ini). Open one of those up (the tab.ini files, those background.ini files are for zoomers). When you open that up, the TextColor line is second from top and the ShadowColor line (if included) is right under that one.

tab.ini - used for regular Tabbed Docks (variations include tab1, tab2 etc.)
single.ini - used for single Tabbed Docks (drawers) (variations include single1, single2 etc.)
tile.ini - used for Tile Docks (variations include tile1, tile2, etc.)

I make mine simple for anyone to make changes...each dock has its own folder and background.ini.
