Alright, I'm lovin me some ObjectDock. I'm using it as a full taskbar replacement. I'm on vista, so of course I still use the start search out of habit and ease (WINkey+FILENAME+ENTER)... I've got a couple minor annoyances that I wonder about. Firstly, when I get a balloon tip from something in my system tray, the tip pops up above the invisible vista taskbar. Not really a big deal but kindof annoying when you're trying to ignore the taskbar altogether. I know coding all this stuff is hard work guys, so kudos, it just gets better with requests! Ok, next thing. I have been using Serious Samurize on my desktop for awhile because I like to make my system stats blend in with my background yet still be available. Something about the method that objectdock uses to hide things is interfering with it. So long as my mouse is on my zoomer dock, Samurize is visible. If I mouseout from the zoomer, it hides my Samurize. I've tried with multiple zoomer docks, and so long as I mouseover one of them Samurize is visible, gone when I mouseout. Is anyone out there making more docklets? I've been googling for hours and I basically come to a TON of icons and a handful of docklets that all do the same things. I was mostly looking for a simple digital clock, the analog clock docklet is dandy but I don't dig analog. OH! As far as the windows replacement scenario goes, would anyone like to work on code to open the start menu docklet when I press the windows key instead of the built in start menu on the hidden taskbar? That would be great. All in all, I've very pleased with ObjectDock. I don't buy software often, it's either bundled or I go open source, so that's probably the biggest recognition you could ever get from me.
