An interesting issue using WB6 on Vista SP1:
If I resize an Office 2007 window (e.g., PowerPoint, an e-mail composition window in Outlook, etc.) by dragging a corner in or out, from that moment on, I cannot "disengage" the resizing options at any of the window borders. For example, if after resizing the window at the lower-right corner I then go to the title bar to move the entire window, I cannot reposition it because the mouse cursor is stuck with the up-down resize functionality.
Moving the mouse into the content area of the program returns the cursor to normal, and the program functions normally. But if I go back to the title bar to reposition the window, the cursor changes immediately to the up-down resize cursor.
Only closing and reopening the program restores the normal mouse functionality. But this problem is repeatable every time I resize the window.
Another thing I noticed is that when I do the initial resize, it "sticks" -- That is, usually in Windows, you must click on the window border and keep the mouse button depressed while you drag the border to its new location. Then, by unclicking, the resize functionality terminates.
With Windowblinds running (and only in Office 2007 apps), however, if I click on the border to resize and then unclick to stop, the resize is "stuck" and the border continues to follow the mouse (no buttons pressed!) until I click the mouse button to force a disengage. After that point, the problem with moving the window ensues, as described above.
It is important to note that other (non-Office-2007) programs do not exhibit this bug, and that it does not happen in Office 2007 programs with Aero running -- only with WB.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
