I've been getting this problem just yesterday. Whenever I try to run Windowblinds, it says:
"WindowBlinds is unable to start.
The most likely reason for this is your PC has a .CMD file running at startup which has locked WBs activation file. Run msconfig & remove this from startup and then reboot. WindowBlinds should then work fine"
I've run msconfig, couldn't find any abnormal startup files which hadn't been there before and couldn't find any .cmd files. I even used the search tools to find .cmd files and only found five; two in the i386 folder, two in system 32 (these four have been there for two years now) and one in a zip file for Abobe Flash CS3.
I know i'm not the only person with this problem because I have found one other post but no one has explained what is wrong.
I've even restarted my computer in diagnostic startup and I still got the same message so I can only assume the most likely reason isn't the reason.
I can only guess what triggered the problem was the fact that I did uninstall stardock, then reinstall it, then uninstall all of the object desktop components. That was when it stopped working.
Someone help for pete's sake.
