problem solved me matees.......(that felt real liberating to say too)
how did i solve it?.......well i still think that rebooting the system makes the animation 'kick in' so to speak....then it was just a matter of entering the correct number of frames..
and I found out that the animation for the startbutton is done in the 'animation' section for the startbutton.........i know sounds sooo basic and simple......but i guess I was confusing myself with thinking that the startmenu animation builder had something to do with it.......
