Linking my installed games back to stardock.

how?

I just reinstalled windows. the non destructive way. Anything on my C: drive was wiped,this included stardock central.

but... my games were on another drive. what I am trying to do is to get stardock to recognize the games that are still installed.

they were originally installed from stardock .

so how do I tell stardock that the games are right there?

SDC checks the registry and it's likely gone.
You can try to edit the registry . . or reinstall. (I think) So sorry, not the best news.

Zubaz is correct. However I think (mind you think is the word here) that if you point Stardock Central to the download location of your choise after reinstalling then hit download again (which it should race right by since all the data will be there already) it should create a new registry. Basicly you are going to reinstall with out ever uninstalling.

If this does not work you pretty much need to clear the data and get everything again.

Well that sucks man.

I have sins,gal civ 2,da,toa,object desktop.all need reinstall even though they are already installed.
all that work just so stardock recognizes my games again.

I think not.

basically this made up my mind not to .
it is far less work to just update my games the old way.

perhaps you should fix this issue. making me reinstall every application i bought through stardock is kinda harsh

I don't see them as being any different to other apps. If you wipe your registry you have to re-install. That isn't harsh, it's the way programs work

If you are worried about loosing game saves, custom setups etc, why not copy all your files to another location, re-install, then copy your files back over the top of the new install?

You do not need to reinstall apps if the registry is wiped. yes you may need to manually add them to the start menu again. but who cares if windows knows about the program otherwise.

whats important is that they actually run.

makes uninstall alot easier in my opinion. just delete the folder and viola you are done.

no messy registry crap to worry about.

I have a 250 gig hard drive with all games and not a one is even noticed by windows, yet they all run fine
