Hey, folks, were back here live...and kicking.. coming at you from lovely downtown Kennebunk, Me. My name is Vic Torre, son of Victor and Victoria Torre, of Sorrento, Italy...aahhh don't I wish I was there...but I'm not and neither are you. Your with me and here we are so let's go. Tonight we'll continue talking with the fabulos 'Kerry Edwards Band'. They are four of the nicest guys in the music biz I've ever met, and if you remember in our last segment they're not at all political as the name might imply. When my producer first brought the band to my attention, I thought it was some kind of liberal answer attempt at getting even with huge success of the band 'BUSH', and their pro-republican album that came out last May. That is not the case however. These guys pre-date the democratic duo trying to put an end to the glorious reign of George W. and Dick X, and as we already heard their name is nothing but the clever conjunction of their first names; KERwin RYan EDwin & WARD. So, without further ado, let's get back to the boys.
VIC: The name is one thing, boys, but the Album you released is another. I've been picking up on it and I like what I hear. As many of my listening audience knows I was a disc jockey for years in Calcutta, and music is one of my greatest pleasures. Some of the songs, and even the name of the album itself (THINGS I ONCE SAID) does strike me as being odd or at the least uncanny. We here at WBSH have checked these guys out and it all does seem innoccent enough. The lead off song 'Christmas Eve, Somewhere', that seems strange. Tell us a little about that song, will you.
WARD: That's my song, Vic. It's about a dream that I had one year after I felt I'd been cheated out of presents. In the dream I go to Cambodia..or someplace like that, and see a lot of kids that have no presents at all. It was a turning point in my life.
KERWIN: We're going to make a video about that...and a bumper sticker if the budget allows.
VIC: That's cool. What about cut no. 3? Folks, listen to this and we'll be back on the other side of the commercials. Stay tuned. Here's " NOT TOO SWIFT" , by our guest tonight, the KERRY EDWARDS BAND...
I MARRIED A MILLIONAIRE....SHOULDA MARRIED A BILLIONAIRE I NEED YOU, HONEY...GET MY DRIFT
YEAH, BABY, YOU'RE NOT TOO SWIFT....YOU'RE NOT TOO SWIFT
DO YOU WANT A SMOKE? NO, YOU'RE GONNA SUE ME,
MAN YOU KNOW I'M BROKE, GO AHEAD AND SUE ME
KEEP IT COOL, MINIMIZE THE RIFT....NOT TOO SWIFT
SUE ME, SUE YOU SUE ME, WHO'S TELLIN' THE TRUTH.......NOT TOO SWIFT
(music fades.....fades....fades.....
