i like this feature though i think if you lay out your desktop with a little thought an option like this won't be used very much. still, it's nice to have.
to improve on desktopx i'd really like to see certain quirky things cleaned up. for example, the other night i decided to play around with it a bit (i've had it for quite a while though just recently started messing with it). i decided to download and install an object from wincustomize. can't remember exactly the name of it, some sort of weather radar deal. anyways, the blurb said "edit the script for your locale". seemed easy enough though every time i brought up the script and changed it and closed it, it reverted back to its original form. i was so frustrated. i tried reading the user guide (really needs to be beefed up), i hit the usenet group for it (nothing), i had just about given up on it till i came across the answer. in the most obtuse fashion, after you alter the script and close it, there is another box that has ben opened by the edit function. you must click apply and ok to make the changes stick. why not just put "save" in the editor and avoid this goofy deal. at least for me, this is the sort of thing that turns me off from these things and makes me think they're not ready for prime time.
