What makes you think you got talent? The songs playin' in your head...are they anything more than just 'elevator music' to take you wherever it is you're going? I mean really, should it be written down, recorded, mass produced and merchandized all over God's creation to bring joy and relief and consultation to those it reaches,...not to mention the wealth the music might bring to you and others that get wrapped up in the production of it? I'm askin' you this, my seeking friend, because your talent will change the world as you know it...if it is the real item. Imagine a race getting under way. See the competition lining up, the officials placing the runners in their places, according to some formula put together somewhere, sometime , somehow. My talented friend, ...get goin'! Don't wait for someone to come up and put you in your place. This is much bigger than they know. You have something the world awaits for and the timing is beyond mere man. For God's sake, brother, dress for sucess. Walk the walk etc. & etc.
This weekend we (my band and me) had the priviledge of playin' Kennebunk at the wedding of young George Bush, the presidents nephew. We got a call at 10:00 pm Thursday night that if we could make D.C. by 5:30 A.M. Friday morning that we could all accompany the President on Air Force One to Maine via New Hampshire. We were there and what an awesome time we all had. We, with the help of George W., put together this little song for the young George that went over rather well with the Kennebunk crowd, and if you would be so kind I'd like to share it with you all. The president sang it ala Alan Jackson/Jimmy Bowen with our accompanyiment to the newlyweds, and although I can't take credit for it...I would if Icould. It was pretty cool. Listen up;
