Choppy performance in Vista

Hey everyone, I know Cursor FX is in beta, but I was curious if anyone else was having this problem...I noticed once I open internet explorer and scroll down then move the mouse around, it gets all choppy like its not tracking properly...or just missing. I am running Vista Home Premium with 2GB ram and 1.67 Amd 64 Turion x2... I saw there is an option in Cursor FX Plus to adjust movement smoothness...I wouldnt think they would have an adjustment that you need to pay for just to see the product work right? Any ideas?

I am also experiencing the choppiness under Vista along with a cursor that goes under certain windows at times. Dropping back to the default windows cursor brings things back to normal. I haven't had much chance to play around with it so this all I have to report.

Hello, I hadn't seen Cursor FX or the Vista Desktop Window Manager taking a high amount of CPU during the times of choppiness though I may not have been looking close enough. If it gets choppy again I'll check CPU utilization and report on that. Thank you.

For me I saw both happening - high CPU and cursor lag - I use Vista as well. Of course the thread I sent you to is regarding CursorXP just thought it might be the same issue.

This may or may not help. One way for mouse cursor to go choppy is if it is an optical mouse. Tiny stuff on the surface can interfere and cause the cursor to jump around. Just thought I'd throw it out there. Don't kill me too too much.

My cursor doesn't get choppy but after my laptop wakes from sleep I get prolonged very high CPU utilization (%90-100) if Cursor FX had been activated prior to sleep. I have vista ultimate. Eventually it lowers but I think it still stays up in the 15-40% range until I shut down CFX. If I reactivate it it is fine again until waking from sleep. Thanks for your time.

Thanks, no killing here today   My mouse is optical/wireless. I feel pretty confident the mouse is pretty clean (I'm one of those spray everything with canned air kind of people   ). I'll pay closer attention when it happens again and along with checking for high CPU I'll give the mouse a bit of a wipe down as well

Same problem with final version (2.00.002) and Windows Vista.
