Here you are paying through the nose for gas
Who's paying through the nose? Last time I filled up my car (about two weeks ago) I spent $17 on gas. I'm still running 1/4 tank in my car. When gas was 50 cents cheaper, I was paying about $12. So it cost me an extra five bucks. That five bucks would have been spent on something like cigarettes (which I don't smoke anymore due to health and cost) junk food or something else. Given that when I'm working I make about $25/hr, that's roughly 12 minutes of work. I think I can deal with that.
I think the people who are really bitching about the "unfair" gas prices are the people driving cars and trucks with V-8/10/12 motors in them that get gas mileage in the single digits and low teens, spending $60-80 per fill up. Granted, some of these people truly need these vehicles, but if you are driving one out of vanity or status, then you should either consider trading it in for more economical transport, or keep your piehole shut about the prices. No one forced you to buy the Humvee H2 with a 7 liter engine, or the Ford Mustang with the 5 liter V-8.
