I’ve created a program for previewing, editing and converting boot screens. At first it was a plugin (for Total Commander), but I thought it’ll be useful for those who have never heard of such thing, so here we’re.
BootScreenView
- Supports all the skin formats (at least the ones I know about): BootSkin (obviously), BootScreen (the one used by LogonUI & Boot Randomizer, BootEditor), kernels (all versions), TuneUp skins (used by TuneUp Utilities)
- Converts between formats (currently can’t convert TO kernel, but FROM is possible)
- Changes skins properties (from INI files)
- Integrates into Explorer (adds Preview and Convert commands into context menus)
- Fully customizable
- Comprehensive help
- etc.

I desperately need some critique, and hope to find it here.
P.S. Sorry for possible mistakes in my English, my native language is C++.
