WIP's Starfleet and LCARS

Here is the new blind that I've been working on this last week. I've named it Starfleet for lack of a better name. I'm trying to give everything a seamless look that reflect on the start panel Comments welcome and appreciated

A good start.  Any thought on using the LCARs style in the skin itself?  You know, to make it look a bit like the computer interfaces from ST:TNG?

That's a totally different blind that I started last week! The start panel looked pretty ok, but as I got deeper in the blind it started looking cheesy.... haven't given totally up on "LCARS Classic" as I called that one, but I think LCARS doesn't lend itself to WB

Oh dear.. Actually I've thought of doin an Lcars many times, Lot's of Trekkies here, maybe I'll give it a whirl after Xmas. Just don't hold me to it. So many idea's so little time.

You know what I mean by "cheesy" I'm sure. My effort took on an almost cartoony look which made me laugh.... and not with pleasure!

BTW, how can I get rid of that white line on the control panel (bottom right, just under the scroll button)? It kinda ruins the seamless look I'm going for

I think thats a setting in Classic Colors somewhere, but I'm not exactly sure where right at this moment.

It's been a while since anyone took a stab at an LCARS WB.  Some interesting DX themes though

That white line can only be removed by using an imported "real" shellstyle(.UIfile) and building the shell via the code. SKS does not maintain any control of it. One drawback to dark windows w\out using a .UIfile style shellstyle.

Tried the one from HG_Eliminator. Didn't work on my res. (1280x800)

Actually, your LCARS theme is one of the best ones that I've seen. Others were really nice, but seemed to be lacking in one way or another. I think that this comes closest to matching what a WindowBlinds designed by Michael Okuda might look like. You're off to a great start. Go on and finish it.
