Generally speaking I want applications to save my user settings under the Application Data folder.
(C:\Users\%username%\AppData\ in Vista.) To me that makes more sense than putting it in the Documents folder.

Has Stardock responded in any meaningful way to objections concerning this move?

Since the recent update moved files to where, as Stardock reps point out, they need to be because of MS, is it safe to assume that this is a dead issue?   

Don't hit or throw things, just wanted to see peoples reactions.       

It is my opinion that if that is where the WB skins must be then so be it.

BUT then put ALL of the other Stardock program skins there too! OD, CXP, DX, FX, etc., everything should be in the same structure eg C:\Documents and Settings\AllUsers\Documents\Stardock\ThemeManager,
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds, instead of C:\Program Files\Stardock\CursorXP\Themes, C:\Program Files\Stardock\DesktopGadgets\AquariumDesktop2007, C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Backgrounds\OxidizedDocks3, D:\MyDocuments\Stardock\SoundPackager, D:\My Documents\ObjectDock Library\Backgrounds\Knot Vista, etc. to make backup of the files as painless as possible.

My Documents folder is on a seperate HDD and I back it up to a 3rd HDD. If everything (skins, etc.) goes into the structure on C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\*, I can copy the folder to D:\ and have it auto back up to another HDD.

Count this as a vote for one (1) location for all.

Wherever we want, and that's IT!

Just give us (XP users) the option to move or not move, or to choose the place we want our skins TO BE! That's all I want

How about someone whip up a DesktopX widget that wil do this for folks? Since I'm not a programmer it would take me a bit to do this. I know it wouldn't be too complicated though and it doesn't have to be anything fancy either.
