inadmissible performance with better Graficcard

I really enjoy my ObjectDock Plus but since I got my new Grafic Card - a sapphire X1950 Pro AGP - the performance is less than poor: It takes 5 seconds for the dock to come up – and another 8 seconds till the weather docklet shows the next 5 days. I already tried different settings but none of them seemed to work any better. Do you have any idea what to do?

Have you updated your video drivers or messed with the performance settings of the Dock? This would be even more important if you happen to be a Vista user with old NVidia drivers.

Thanks for your answer, but of cause I updated the drivers. I tried all catalyst driver versions between 7.7 and 7.9 - even the new 8.4 Beta. The problem must be somewhere else. And I did not mess around with the performance settings. Of course I tried the default seetings - but that did not help either.
I'm running xpsp2 on a Asus P4C800 Deluxe with a Intel P4, 3200Mhz.

Any other idea?
